Jono & Dano in social Schnitzel push

SYDNEY: MCM Media's The Jono & Dano Show has launched a social media campaign promoting the virtues of family time.

The campaign to promote the weekday radio show is based around a fictional political lobby group called Bring Back The Schnitz, which encourages family conversation around the dinner table.

"These guys know how to talk to Australians and when they learned about the lack of quality family time, along with all the other everyday stresses, they decided to do something - and what better dish than the classic schnitzel to bring people together," MCM Media chief executive, Simon Joyce said.

The campaign predominantly uses social media platforms such as Facebook in addition to on-air advertising and PR activity.

It also includes an online video clip called "Give schnitz a chance", and has been supported by Peter Garrett, Kylie Minogue and Molly Meldrum.

The campaign was created, directed and produced in conjunction with creative agency 3rdspace.

The Jono & Dano Show airs from 4pm weekdays on WSFM in Sydney, Gold FM in Melbourne and 4KQ in Brisbane.
