Foxtel subscriber numbers grow

A strategy to reduce churn and and grow its channel offering and IPTV services has seen Foxtel subscriber numbers grow by 5.6% to 2.6 million subscribers.

The subscription broadcaster, 50% owned by Foxtel and News Corporation reported earnings before interest and tax of $576 million on revenues of $3.1 billion for the year to June.

The broadcaster also managed to reduce its churn rate by 1.7% to 14.2%.

The company now boasts 2.6 million subscribers.
