Independent media agency Magic has hired six staff across performance and account service roles, off the back of 14% year-on-year growth and new clients including El Jannah, Zamels, iPantry and Vitality Brands.
The hires include former Magic head of performance Charles Kurth, who returns from a performance marketing role at Quad Lock, along with account director Chris Lane, previously performance head at Vouch Global, who brings experience across ecommerce, retail, non-profit and hospitality clients including Macmillan Cancer Support and UNICEF.
Kurth said the move was a return to familiar ground.
"This is a homecoming for me,” he said.
“I'm thrilled to return to Magic at such an exciting time for the business, where I can continue to harness data and best-in-class performance to drive new business and client opportunities."
Shamila Naleer joins as account manager from KingKong, where she was a paid search specialist.
Thomas Proe-Carter and Alishma Ismaili join as account executives in performance, while Swinburne University student Stephanie Walsh takes a social media co-ordinator role, coming from Victorian brewery JKB Brewing.
CEO Shahram Ghaffurian said the hires reflected the agency's momentum.
"These appointments mark an exciting next step in our growth and reflect the momentum we are building across the business,” he said.
“Each new hire brings meaningful expertise and energy to the team, further strengthening our capabilities and positioning us strongly for the future."
