Sandilands under investigation

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is looking into complaints made against Kyle Sandilands, as the shock jock admits he doesn't "do sorry".

An ACMA spokesperson said the body is investigating comments made by the Southern Cross Austereo presenter, where he called a News Limited journalist a “fat slag” and threatened to hunt her down.

The ACMA is examining whether his comments were a breach of conduct in the Commercial Radio Standards.

Meanwhile, in his first public interview since the outburst, Sandilands said “I don't really do sorry”. The full interview will be available tomorrow in The Weekend Australian, previewed in today's Australian.

Sandilands is also quoted as saying: “People seem to think that I spend a lot of time worrying about (the lost sponsorship) but I basically don't think about it, because it's not my job to go out there and get sponsors.”

However, he did admit that he went too far with his comments.

Sandilands' comments caused an advertiser backlash against his radio show, with dozens of big name advertisers and sponsors pulling support.
