Corona wants Aussies to know how much plastic is going into our oceans, depicting Chris Hemsworth surfing next to a giant wave of waste.

In the lead-up to World Oceans Day, Corona has teamed up with Parley for the Oceans and agency partners Traffik, Monster Children and Fuel Communications, led by PHD Media, to show how paradise is becoming a plastic wasteland.

Corona's ads usually depict paradise how we'd like it to be, but these days, plastic is marring that reality at an alarming rate and the brand is on a mission to change that.

Usingan OOH billboard in Melbourne (also London, Santiago, Bogota, Santo Domingo and Lima), 100 Islands ambassador Chris Hemsworth can be seen surfing a sparkling wave next to a 1580kg wave of plastic waste. This is to alert Aussies that this is how much plastic goes into our oceans every hour.
