The Australian's fashion editor Damien Woolnough will join Elle Australia as deputy editor.
Woolnough, who was editor at Vogue.com.au before leaving for The Australian will join Bauer next month.
“Having worked on some powerful media brands, the opportunity to be a part of the Elle Australia team was irresistible. Elle appeals to women who love fashion, understand luxury and appreciate intelligent and exciting content,” said Woolnough.
“I'm looking forward to bringing my experience in journalism, luxury media, fashion brands and digital platforms - with an irreverent dash of ‘homme’ - to Elle Australia.”
The first issue will be on sale late September.
