EXCLUSIVE: Tequila head of digital Jeff Salchow is to leave the agency after only a year in the role, and has been replaced by head of digital production Cecile Ferre.

Salchow joined Tequila mid-way through 2010 from Publicis Mojo, where he was head of digital production. He was brought in to manage the day-to-day operations of the Tequila offices in Australia.

Ferre, who joined Tequila last year, worked previously as contract associate programme director at AKQA in London. She will report to Tequila Asia Pacific president Charles Clapshaw.

Whybin TBWA Tequila chief executive Paul Bradbury told AdNews: "Cecile comes from an impeccable pedigree. It's great that we have the strength and the talent to promote from within."

Salchow told AdNews: "Leaving Tequila is very bittersweet but after nearly five years of agency life without a holiday, I realised I needed a break. I 'm thrilled to have some time to travel, see family, and relax but will definitely miss my team and wish them all the best."
