EXCLUSIVE: Queensland Gas Corporation has opened its creative advertising account for pitch, inviting local Brisbane agencies to make expressions of interest.

One agency executive told AdNews they were invited to submit credentials and were asked to account for capabilities across a wide range of disciplines. A QGC representative also confirmed the company had made inquiries with local agencies, but declined to reveal
any more details.

One agency source told AdNews that the review comes as QGC posts significant growth. The expansion comes at a time of increasing demand for cleaner and more efficient energy.

QGC is one of the major players in the Sunshine State in the production of liquid natural gas, a new clean energy source. According to a QLD Government blueprint: “This new energy industry capitalises on the state’s extensive coal seam gas reserves to meet growing global demand for liquefied natural gas.”
