Kerala, a state of India, is looking to launch a marketing blitz to attract more tourists from Australia and the Middle East, according to reports. Buoyed by an 11% increase in foregin tourist arrivals in 2011, the Indian state is looking to launch an advertising campaign in Australia, which will kick off in early February.
VeNA appoints News Zealand general manager
Video and social gaming advertising network VeNA has appointed former general manager of Valued Interactive Media, Grant Hyland, as its first locally-based managing director in New Zealand. This appointment comes as the New Zealand operations are experiencing growing business opportunities.
Econsultancy report shows digital marketing on the rise
A report titled The State of Digital Marketing in Australia by Econsultancy has revealed digital marketing is becoming a priority for Australian businesses who are increasing budgets by an average of 26% in 2012. The 50-page report, which is based on a survey of more than 500 marketers all based in Australia, looks in detail at the relative levels of spending across different online and traditional marketing channels.
