Fairfax board: Savage leaves, Millar joins
Faifax Media Board veteran Robert Savage will depart on 30 June, with his position to be filled by former Ernst & Young chief executive officer James Millar, beginning 1 July. A former IBM Australia managing director and David Jones chairman, Savage served on the Board for five years. Millar has previously worked as a corporate reconstruction professional and as director of Mirvac Limited.
BlueArc appoints CD
Digital agency BlueArc Group has hired Joe Smith as creative director. Smith joins from web design and marketing agency William, where he was creative director. He has previously worked for Ninemsn, Ninepixels and M&C Saatchi. He will be responsible for all creative output.
Komli Media appoints managing director
Komli Media's Australian arm has promoted vice president data soultions Andrew Reid to managing director, following the resignation of current MD Andrew Lockwood. Reid has previously worked with Nielsen Online. Lockwood founded ad network, PostClick, in 2001, which Komli Media purchased two years ago. He may return to Komli in an advisory role.
Skyscanner launches in Australia with Ad2One
Digital sales house Ad2One has partnered with travel search website Skyscanner to grow its business in Australia and New Zealand. Skyscanner enables users to search any destination in the world and find the cheapest way to get there. Under the new arrangement, Ad2One will represent advertising opportunities on the site in Australia, adding to its broad portfolio of web properties around the world.
