The Fairfax, Mi9 and News Corp premium private exchange will not now be announced until after News Corp has conducted a strategic review of operations following its regime change.

AdNews reported yesterday that the premium exchange was due to be launched within days. That now looks unlikely.

News is understood to be conducting a strategic review to give new boss Julian Clarke a full picture of the business. That is set to conclude mid-September.

The company last week outlined changes to its sales structure that suggests a rethink of its centralised approach. The outcome of those changes may become fully clear over the next 12 months.

From New York, News Corp last month announced that it will launch its own global private programmatic exchange working with the Rubicon Project.

It is thought that will not affect plans for the local group exchange, which could then be rubber-stamped by News Corp later this month or early next.
