Mashable hires Australian editor

Mashable has appointed multimedia editor at News.com.au, Jenni Ryall, to lead its launch into the Australian market.

The media company has also announced the appointment of Inception Digital as its Australian media agency of record.

It had been rumoured that Mashable would enter the Australian market following in the footsteps of The Guardian and The Daily Mail.

Mashable has 35 million unique visitors worldwide and 16 million social media followers.

Ryall will officially join Mashable in early July. Inception Digital will be Mashable’s agency of record in Australia effective immediately.
