Marketers expecting increased budgets and big salary bonuses

Over half the marketers in the Asia-Pacific region expect to see increases in their budgets in 2013, while marketers around the globe are anticipating bonuses this year on salaries which reach as high as US$349,000.

According to the CMO Council's State of Marketing 2012 Report, which is based on interviews with 550 marketing bosses from around the world, 57% of marketers in the Asia Pacific region expect increases in marketing budgets next year.

The Asia Pacific figure are higher than global figures, in which 54% of marketers expect increases.

Meanwhile, on a global scale, 73% of marketing bosses believe they will receive a salary bonus at the end of the year.

The report found that 77% of marketing bosses around the globe earn between US$100,000 and $349,000.

Meanwhile, 38% of marketers argued they were not fairly compensated in their jobs, compared to 39% who were satisfied with their level of compensation.
