FMCG giant Kellogg's is on the hunt for a new top marketer following the elevation of its ANZ marketing director Kalyan Bandyopadhyay to a regional role.

Bandyopadhyay will be still based locally but will be supporting Kellogg's expansion plans into Greater China, which also covers Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau. He has been with the company since 2005, serving in marketing roles in different regions. Prior to Kellogg's, he worked for Unilever and Hindustan Lever.

Kellogg's marketing team numbers 30 employees and works with agency partners JWT, Mindshare and Tongue.

Kellogg's human resources director, Michelle Bakar, said: “We'd like to thank Kalyan for his solid contribution to the ANZ business and wish him well in his exciting new role growing one of Kellogg's emerging markets.

“We'll be recruiting as soon as possible to ensure a smooth transition and to build on the early successes we've enjoyed in 2012.”

Kellogg's is one of the biggest advertisers in the food category in the first six months of 2011, outspending rivals Nestle, Unilever and Simplot, according to Nielsen figures published in AdNews' Top Advertisers report.

The brand has also being singled out by critics, including The Parent's Jury, for marketing junk food to children.
