The member-owned Queensland financial institution Heritage Bank has appointed a digitally-focused marketing manager to drive its growth strategy.
Matt Granfield, the former head of strategy at the agency Memery and prior to that the senior marketing strategist and partner at the online marketing agency e-CBD, replaces Rachel Watt who left to set up her own consulting agency.
Granfield will focus on bringing the banks 'People First' proposition to life across all elements of the marketing mix, particularly digital.
Heritage Bank general manager of marketing Jane Calder said: “In 2012 digital is obviously a hugely important part of any bank's marketing strategy, but Matt has a really broad perspective on the whole marketing mix from his work as a marketing journalist and running agencies at various points on the spectrum, so he'll be a real asset to the marketing team.”
Granfield said: “The fact that Heritage has a customer satisfaction rating of 99.5%, which is higher than any other bank in Australia, makes the marketing job even more rewarding – you're talking to people who think you're brilliant and reaching out to others knowing they'll end up joining some of the happiest customers in Australia. As a marketer you can't ask for more.”
