EXCLUSIVE: Internationally acclaimed advertising college Miami Ad School will open its doors in Sydney in April.

Teachers from Naked Communications, Amnesia Razorfish, The White Agency, Whybin TBWA, McCann Erickson, Droga5, JWT and Starcom have already signed on.

The school will teach both art direction and copywriting, and will be managed locally by Helga Diamond, who was previously professional training director at The Communications Council. The Sydney office is the eleventh global office for the company.

Several notable industry figures have pledged their support for the program, including DDB Worldwide chief creative officer Matt Eastwood. "[Miami Ad School] graduates are always the first place I look when searching for young talent," he said.

Amnesia Razorfish founder and creative director Iain McDonald said: "There is certainly a shortage of world class courses of this kind that produce high calibre work-ready graduates that we know Miami Ad School produces overseas."

For the past four years, The Gunn Report has named Miami Ad School the most awarded advertising college in the world, with outposts in the US, Germany, Spain, Turkey, Mexico and Brazil.
