Restaurant group Foodco has appointed Slingshot Media Ventures as its media agency following a competitive three-way pitch.

The win accompanies Slingshot's digital responsibilities at Foodco, which it has held for the past 12 months. The incumbent on the media account is Cooke Collins Advertising.

Slingshot Media Ventures chief executive Simon Rutherford said: “We are thrilled that we can now extend our service offering and deliver greater integration for the Foodco brands.”

Slingshot will be responsible for Foodco Group's media strategy and buying account, managing the Muffin Break and Jamaica Blue businesses.

Foodco national marketing manager Drew Eide said: “Foodco has enjoyed an excellent five-year working relationship with Cooke Collins Advertising, which boasts a motivated team of media professionals with many years of industry experience.

“It is with equal pleasure that Foodco welcomes Slingshot Ventures as our newly appointed media partner. Slingshot's innovative approach and ability to challenge the norms with fun, fresh and bold ideas is so impressive and genuinely intriguing.”
