EXCLUSIVE: FMCG company Fonterra has handed independent agency CumminsRoss more of its brands, including Ski yoghurt.
CumminsRoss now handles all of Fonterra's beverages and yoghurt brands. AdNews understands the agency was given Ski without a pitch. Clemenger BBDO Melbourne was the incumbent on the account.
Within the Ski brand includes D'Lite, Divine, Double Up and Activ.
A spokesperson for Fonterra confirmed to AdNews CumminsRoss is now responsible for the Ski brand. She said: “We have excellent relationships with both our advertising agencies – Clemenger BBDO and CumminsRoss – and they continue to do great work and execute strong, creative campaigns that deliver for our dairy brands.
“CumminsRoss is the agency of record for our yoghurt and beverages business, working on brands including Mammoth, Soleil diet and Ski; while Clemenger BBDO is the agency of record for our cheese and spreads business, working on brands including Mainland cheese, Bega cheese and Western Star butter.”
CumminsRoss started working with the New Zealand dairy business in July last year after a pitch.
Ski spent an estimated $4.5 million on main media in the 12 months to March 2012, marginally down from $4.7 million in the prior period, according to Nielsen figures.
