Lauren Joyce has joined Ensemble in the newly formed position of national strategy director, based in Melbourne.
The former Cannes Young Lions winner was most recently group director of UM in Melbourne and has also worked previously in the Sydney offices.
Justin Ricketts, managing director of Ensemble Australia lauded Joyce's talents in strategy and client leadership, a quality he believes Ensemble needs to grow its Melbourne operation and also boost Ensemble at a national level.
“Lauren’s talents will help strengthen our capabilities and it is also ideal that she has such detailed knowledge of the broader Mediabrands operations,” said Ricketts. “The role includes both strategy and creative and requires an approach with fresh and different thinking to entertain and engage consumers. It's a much more creative based strategy role that's both broad and challenging. We think Lauren will be a great fit.”
Joyce is looking forward to the new role, particularly the challenges the position brings. “Brands are no longer defined simply by their positioning but the role they play in people’s lives so identifying what this role is and how people want it delivered is increasingly important.
“Branded Entertainment is about adding value to the consumer via communications. This may occur via content, a sponsorship, an activation but ultimately the experience someone gets by engaging with a brand.”
Joyce's official start date is 20 May.
