Cadbury Australia has attracted 100,000 on Facebook and is to reward selected fans with "Thank You" packs.

Social media statistics website Socialbakers places Cadbury Dairy Milk seventh in its top 10 food/beverages Australian branded Facebook pages according to number of fans. The Dairy Milk Facebook page currently has 100,542 fans, representing growth of 10.52% in the past month.

To mark reaching 100,000 fans, Cadbury has launched a promotion on Facebook offering its fans a chance to win one of 10 "Thank You" packs.

Cadbury recently launched a campaign for Dairy Milk Mousse exclusively on Facebook which saw 7,600 entries to an associated competition in a week. The chocolate brand claims to have 1 million impressions per month over Facebook and Twitter and an active user rate of 44% on Facebook.

Cadbury Dairy Milk marketing manager Kirstin Stapelberg said: "We are so excited by the level of engagement our consumers have with Cadbury Dairy Milk. Their very real interest in all things Cadbury Dairy Milk is evidenced in the extent of their online participation."

Cadbury merged with Kraft last year and is in the midst of an agency review under director of marketing Amanda Banfield. Saatchi & Saatchi, the incumbent agency on its Dairy Milk brands, is tipped to take on all Cadbury brands. The Cadbury Dairy Milk Facebook page is managed by The Online Circle.

Socialbakers places Unilever's Streets Bubble O'Bill ice cream as the highest ranked page with over 1 million fans. Coca-Cola Australia comes in second, with Pringles, KFC, and Hungry Jacks in the third, fourth and fifth positions respectively. Rounding out the top 10 are Samboy Chips, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Pepsi, Sunny the Egg and Brumby's.
