Bedshed sleeps with Rare

Furniture brand Bedshed has appointed Perth agency Rarecreativethinking as its creative agency, replacing incumbent Gatecrasher.

Rare won the account following a three-way pitch and will handle Bedshed's consumer advertising from today. Media buying remains with Media Forte.

Bedshed chief operating officer, Gavin Culmsee, said: “Rare took a fresh and original approach, demonstrating they are the right to fit to work with Bedshed as we continue an aggressive national expansion program.

“Our three-and-a-half year partnership with Gatecrasher ends on good terms and they deserve due credit for Bedshed's current strong position.”

Rare managing director, Callum Mackenzie, said: “Bedshed is a major win for us and we see a great deal of potential as they continue to grow their presence around the country. For a brand that positions itself with the tagline, 'no one's better in the bedroom', there are a plethora of cheeky advertising opportunities.”

Rare's clients include TAB, Bankwest, Stockland and Mercedes Benz WA.
