The ad racked up over 694,000 views in just a few days, as well as 11,000 shares.

Chris Quigley, co-founder of the Viral Ad Network, said the Australian Open has been dominating the charts in recent weeks.

“Overall, the Australian Open has dominated the trending brand videos over the last couple of weeks, with Optus' Open video series taking number two spot in the chart with over 120,000 views.

“Other interesting videos in this week's top 10 include Unit's latest extreme mountain biker video which has clocked up an impressive 91,000 views and 5,000+ shares, as well as a bizarre zombie teaser video from Melbourne comedian Alki Stevens with over 31,000 views.”

The AdNews Viral Video Chart ranks Australia's most popular brand-funded videos based on a combination of views and natural sharing.

The chart is updated every two weeks based on data from YouTube and sharing activity on Facebook and Twitter. Note that the chart shows total views, not the number of views generated in the past fortnight, so entries with a higher number of cumulative views may appear lower down.
