AdNews Power 50 revealed

By By Wenlei Ma | 9 August 2012

Today, AdNews unveils its eighth annual Power 50, a list of the most influential figures in the media, marketing and advertising industry.

There are 10 new faces on the list who make their debuts, while three familiar people return to the Power 50 after an absence. Of the 37 people who remain on the Power 50 from the 2011 edition, only four have stayed in their previous positions, indicative of the constantly evolving nature of media.

Marketers and brands feature more heavily in the list than last year and most of the TV powerbrokers have climbed the ranks.

The full rankings are in today's print edition with an analysis on why each person occupies their position on the list. There's also a compilation of 22 people in the 'On the boil' list who are moving their way up the corridors of power and may very well be in the Power 50 next year.

To give you a teaser, each Power 50 entrant is below in alphabetical order. Pick up a copy of the magazine or download the iPad version to see where they're all placed and why AdNews considers them to be the 50 most powerful people in our industry.
