ADELAIDE: Mediaedge:cia is expected to be awarded the bulk of the $38 million South Australian government media account within the week, following approval from Premier Mike Rann.

A source confirmed to AdNews that an official announcement was due by the end of this week, with MEC winning the largest portion of the account, believed to be about $30 million after a pitch against the incumbent Starcom Adelaide.

Starcom is expected to retain the smaller functional account which includes classified advertising, while MEC wil be resonsible for SA government brand campaigns including SA tourism and Lotto.
