Qantas nabs Heffernan

Qantas has hired BigPond brand & advertising director Kent Heffernan  in the newly created role of head of brand & marketing.
Heffernan, who worked for Telstra for 10 years, joins Qantas on 17 June, reporting to Qantas's recently appointed executive marketing director Lewis Pullen, who created the head of brand & marketing role.
Heffernan, who featured in AdNews’s 40 Under 40 [23 October 2009], started his Telstra career as a product manager for ADSL broadband. He was appointed to the head marketing job at BigPond after a reshuffle in 2008 that saw him replace Amanda Johnston-Pell after her promotion to Telstra executive director of brands and marketing communications.

SYDNEY: Qantas has hired BigPond brand & advertising director Kent Heffernan in the newly created role of head of brand & marketing, AdNews magazine revealed today.

Heffernan, who worked for Telstra for 10 years, joins Qantas on 17 June, reporting to the airline's recently appointed executive marketing director Lewis Pullen.

Heffernan, who featured in AdNews’s 40 Under 40 [23 October 2009], started his Telstra career as a product manager for ADSL broadband.

He was appointed to the head marketing job at BigPond after a reshuffle in 2008 that saw him replace Amanda Johnston-Pell after her promotion to Telstra executive director of brands and marketing communications.
