VOTE: Does Kyle's audience really care?

After Kyle Sandilands' “fat slag” outburst landed him in hot water with advertisers and the media, he was hit with a second licence condition yesterday. But does his audience really care?

When the radio presenter called a News Limited journalit a “fat slag” on air last year, he was slammed in the press, and saw scores of advertisers walk out on his show.

Yesterday, his station 2DayFM was hit with a second licence condition which said the station cannot broadcast content that offends “generally accepted standards of decency”. His first licence condition was imposed in 2010.

Despite the backlash, his audience numbers have remained strong. In the breakfast spot, his radio program with fellow presenter Jackie O has maintained strong number, with just under 10% market share.

However, some pundits have said repeated scandals involving Sandilands may lead to audience decline over the longer term.
