The Super Bowl. The most expensive ad spots in the world tend to generate some of the best ads. With many brands leaking their commercials online before game day this weekend, you can now check them out without having to sit through a very long game of American Football.
Hulu
Will Arnett is his reliably humourous self, following Alec Baldwin's footsteps in this commercial for Hulu. Watch out for references to Baldwin and 30 Rock, Saturday Night Live and the soon-to-be resurrected Arrested Development.
Coca Cola
The polar bears are back and with aesthetic improvements. The world's most well-known soft drink brand brings us a TV commercial with a cinematic scale as the white-haired creatures scurry gracefully on ice in what is likely to be a better touchdown than anything the game itself will produce.
Volkswagen
A spot promoting VW's Beetle range has everything the Super Bowl ad fanatic could want, a weight-conscious dog, a super-shiny car and references to last year's hugely popular 'The Force' spot.
Honda Acura
Continuing the trend of celebrity stars, Honda's epic ad for its new Acura model sees Jerry Seinfeld going to great lengths (munchkins, the Soup Nazi and the world's best zipline) to be the first person in line for the car, only to be foiled by, wait for it...
Toyota Camry
Reinvention is the watchword. The car brand reinvents the couch, a baby, a policeman and even the much maligned DMV to become the uber versions of their generally mundane selves. But did it reinvent the Super Bowl ad?
Career Builder
Are there days when you think your co-workers are the worst? As if you're the only sane person trapped in a world of monkeys. Spare a thought for the protagonist of this ad, which gives myriad reasons why it's time to change jobs.
Pepsi Max
Taking a cheeky stab at its competitor Coke Zero, Pepsi Max puts on a spectacle for its soft drink, complete with cameo from Regis Philbin.
