Nine dominates ratings battle

Nine's The Block: Sky High has continued to pull viewers with its second episode.

Nine's The Block: Sky High has continued to lure viewers on its second night with an audience of 1.28 million, despite slightly decreasing its debut audience of 1.31 million viewers. Nine was also the night's overall winner with majority of the share.

The show - an extension of Nine's popular series The Block - sees pairs of contestants tasked with renovating a story of a six-storey hotel into an apartment.

Overnight ratings from OzTam demonstrate the format has continued to resonate well with viewers, garnering 1.28 million metro viewers with last night's episode. This continues momentum from its launch episode on Sunday night which attracted 1.31 million metro viewers. The program was the third highest-rating out last night's Top 20.

Reality giant The Voice - also broadcast by Nine - continued to hold the top spot, despite dropping to 1.57 million viewers from Sunday's 1.92 million. Nine News was the second most-watched program of last night with an audience of 1.38 million.

Meanwhile, Ten's The Biggest Loser: The Next Generation picked up 658,000 viewers.

Other programs in the Top 20 were Seven News, Today Tonight (Seven), Home and Away (Seven), Q&A (ABC) and Ten News at Five.

Across the main channels, Nine won the day with 33.4% share, followed by Seven with 29%. Next came the ABC with 18.2% and Ten with 14.8%. SBS gained 4.7%.
