BMF Sydney chief executive, Jeremy Nicholas.

CEO Jeremy Nicholas is leaving BMF to pursue other opportunities after 12 years at the firm.

In a statement, executive chair and founding partner Matthew Melhuish wished him well, describing him as a "great colleague" and a "truly gifted strategic thinker".

Nicholas said he wanted "some time out and take my working life in a different direction".

"I leave knowing that the agency is creating outstanding work and is in great hands with the existing leadership team. I wish all the staff and clients the very best.”

Melhuish said that the firm had an "exceptional successor waiting in the wings", and would be shortly announcing "him". In the meantime, Melhuish said he would be more hands on.
