MADCs cancelled
The Melbourne Advertising and Design Club Awards have been suspended for this year due to a lack of support from local agencies. MADC president Nigel Dawson said agencies were being forced to choose between global and local award programs. He stressed the MADC's other activities have been unaffected by the award suspension and hopefully the format will be renewed and returned in 2014.

Former Bauer execs to launch Evo
Two former Bauer staffers have secured the licence for motoring publication Evo, according to a report in The Australian. Matthew O'Malley, Mike Frey and Jesse Taylor have formed Motoring Media Network. The first issue will hit stands 1 July.
