Looking for speedier media sales? Then get some ESP at the MSS!

In today’s media marketplace, there are more layers and levels of decision-makers, more roles and responsibilities, than ever before. I remember when I started out in the media industry back in 1988, I only had to deal with agency planners and buyers. Now you have that plus traders, strategists, channel planners, account services, digital specialists and ideas directors! Oh, and let’s not forget the client!

And people have less time than before to see you. Speed to market, speed to sales. We all know that times are fast, media lead times have shortened – you can be online tonight, radio tomorrow and TV next week. And when salespeople do have contact with the decision-makers, how on earth do you get your message across? Because you can be armed with all the best ideas and all the best data in the world, but if you can’t communicate and articulate that appropriately, it’s never going to be heard. It’s dead in the water.

So when we talk about how salespeople need to survive and thrive in the new marketplace, how do you actually do that? Well, I believe you need ESP. You need to mind-read your clients so you can help them make a decision, faster. Isn’t that what we all want?

You may be wondering now, how do I get some of this 'ESP'? All you need to do is come along to the inaugural AdNews Media Sales Summit next Wednesday 22 May at Doltone House, Hyde Park. Grab your tickets here.

It’s a full day of inspiration, education and insights designed to get your sales juices flowing. Now more than ever is the time to step up. The ones who will survive know which steps to take, which ones to skip and which ones matter the most. The media sales industry has converged and we all need to take ourselves to the next level.

See you there!
