Dentsu Australia has finally announced the details of its strategic partnership with Sydney agency Oddfellows, several months after the agency's launch.

The agency today started a PR offensive, sending out a release announcing its "official" launch in the Australian market. This is despite the fact that it was widely reported that the company had launched in Australia in April.

The release announced that the Australian operation is to be led by managing director Emma Hancock, although Hancock has been in the country leading the Australian operation since its launch six months ago.

Dentsu has also unveiled its official relationship with Sydney agency Oddfellows, saying that the two agencies have entered into a strategic partnership, and that a merger or acquisition is not on the cards.

Hancock said: "Dentsu and Oddfellows have had a collaborative, professional relationship for quite some years now, born out of working to service mutual clients internationally. Toyota is obviously a good example of this."

It has previously been reported that Dentsu Australia’s foundation client is Toyota. It does not appear that the agency has brought any other clients onto its roster since it entered the market earlier in the year.
