Fox Sports Australia's CEO Patrick Delany has spearheaded a brand refresh of the Fox Sports channel as part a $40 million investment in the company.

The rebrand is being overseen by brand consultancy Principals, with whom Fox Sports chief executive Patrick Delany had previously worked while he was at XYZ Networks.

Changes will include a new look to on-air programming such as graphics, sets and backgrounds. It will roll-out gradually but will be completed by the end of the year. An iPad app will also be released this month.

The investment also included new offices and studios in Sydney and Melbourne. The Melbourne premises are already in use while the Sydney operations will relocate to St. Leonards in January.

Delany told AdNews: “We want to refresh our relationship with consumers and subscribers and to connect with them in the 21st century.”

Delany said the refresh and the investment into new premises has been planned since he joined the organisation more than a year ago.

Premier Media Group rebranded to Fox Sports Australia in February.
