Celebrity Apprentice won the battle of the reality shows as it went head to head with The X Factor last night.
Celebrity Apprentice went out with a bang and took the coveted top spot as comedian Julia Morris was crowned the winner, which saw $100,000 donated to breast cancer research.
The reality program's three separate ratings segments saw 1.61 million, 1.31 million and 1.05 million average metropolitan viewers tune in respectively, according to overnight preliminary figures from OzTam.
The penultimate episode of The X Factor, which saw the finalists perform duets with famous recording artists, was second for the night with 1.45 million viewers. The grand final will air tonight.
Seven had three other programs in the top 10, which were usual suspects Seven News, Today Tonight and Home and Away.
Radio duo Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O's new program, Kyle and Jackie O's Night With The Stars debuted with 560,000 viewers in 20th position.
Nine's US comedy series Big Bang Theory, was bumped to third last night as a result of the two reality shows winding up. Big Bang Theory drew in 1.36 million viewers while a second episode was fifth with 1.16 million viewers. The Mentalist was nudged out of the top 10 with 792,000 viewers due to its later timeslot because of Celebrity Apprentice.
With the ABC's Monday night current affairs line-up finished for the year, Ten managed more programs in the top 20 list with Junior MasterChef reaching its highest position yet in 14th spot with 675,000 viewers. Ten News, The Project and Undercover Boss were in 16th, 17th and 18th positions.
Across the main channels, despite Nine's dominance in the top 10, Seven still won the night in audience share across total people with 25.6%. Nine was close behind with 24.1%, followed by Ten with 12.2%, the ABC with 11.5% and SBS at 3.6%.
