Apple in hot water over "misleading" marketing

By By David Blight | 28 March 2012

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has hit out at Apple for allegedly misleading Australian consumers in a recent marketing promotion.

Apple's recent initiative has promoted the “iPad with WiFi + 4G”. The ACCC has said this decieves consumers because it incorrectly suggests Australians can connect to a 4G mobile data network in Australia with a SIM card.

The ACCC will make an application to the Federal Court in Melbourne tomorrow for orders against Apple.

Apple had not provided comment at the time of writing.
