ZenithOptimedia extends Newcast down under

ZenithOptimedia has launched its Newcast division in Australia to offer clients sponsorship, experiential, and branded content services.

Newcast Australia will be part of the agency's global Newcast network which already spans ten markets, including the US, India and China. 

The division will be headed up by ZenithOptimedia business director Vicki Connerty, who joins from Austereo, where she was a senior strategist. Prior to this, she was a senior sponsorship director at Carat UK. 

Newcast global managing director Mark Waugh, who has been in Sydney to help launch the division, said: "Clients are increasingly demanding total communications solutions from media agencies that encompass their 'owned' and 'earned' media, not just 'paid' media. Having a dedicated unit like Newcast, focussed on branded content development, sponsorship integrations and live brand experiences meets this need."

Earlier in the year, ZenithOptimedia launched its combined performance and search marketing division Performics in Australia, as part of a global rollout.
