Former top director within WPP, Rob Draper, has joined IVE Group in the newly created role of chief marketing officer.

Draper spent seven years with WPP in varying roles such as MD of Barrows Asia Pacific and Geometry Global Australia.

Most recently he was WPP AUNZ group business director and CEO of The Store and featured in an AdNews Industry Profile here.

ASX-listed IVE Group has evolved from a family-owned print production business in the early 1920s to one of Australia’s most diversified print and marketing communications business, with annual revenues of nearly $700 million and more than 1,800 employees.

IVE Group executive chairman Geoff Selig said after three years of being on the ASX, the company is seeking to communicate its “market leading value proposition” to its stakeholders.

“We’re excited to have someone with Draper's energy and expertise joining us at such a senior level as we look to expand our regional and global presence,” Selig says.

“Draper is the perfect fit for us given his extensive senior level agency experience and background in retail, shopper, production and digitally led companies.”

Draper says he looks forward to joining the team as it prepares for its next chapter.

“They have a strong mix of smart people and complimentary services that are working well together,” Draper said.

“This combined with their scale and market leading offer continue to add significant value to a client’s marketing and communications activities across the board.”
