Walkley Award mid-year finalists revealed

The Walkley Foundation has revealed the finalists for its 2019 Mid-Year Celebration, with Facebook on board as a key partner.

Awards for the mid-year celebration includes Young Australian Journalist of the Year Awards, Arts Journalism Prizes, Women’s Leadership in Media and the inaugural Media Diversity Australia Award.

The winners for the the Jacoby-Walkley Scholarship with Nine, the Media Super Scholarship with Seven, the William Buckland Foundation Fellowship with The Age, and the Sean Dorney Grant for Pacific Journalism will also be announced on the night.

Walkley Young Australian Journalist of the Year Awards finalists include; Avani Dias from Hack on Triple J, Isabella Higgins from ABC News and Rebecca Metcalf from Vice Video.

Partners and supporters for the 2019 Mid-Year Celebration include; PwC, Google, News Corp Australia, ABC and Sky News.
