VMLY&R Melbourne was appointed by Crown Resorts to develop the digital strategy and experience design for the new Sydney hotel and entertainment precinct, following a competitive pitch.

Crown Sydney is opening in early 2021 at Barangaroo.

In the first work introduced to market since the agency’s appointment, Crown has launched its new website with previews of the rooms, restaurants and the personalized service guests can expect from the venue.

VMLY&R Melbourne managing partner Jon Kenyon says the team are proud of the work and partnership they have formed with the Crown team.

"The first release of the site is only the beginning, as deeper more personalised functionality is developed and launched throughout the year," Kenyon says.

“We have huge ambitions for the agency’s digital and technology offerings this year, with a series of projects already underway and more in the pipeline."

In addition to delivering ongoing digital work for Crown, VMLY&R Melbourne is also working with long-standing global client, Ford, on a series of CX sprints.

The agency is also developing several immersive virtual reality experiences for Monash University, pushing the Future Without Change brand platform into the creative technology space.

The agency retained the Monash University account last year after an open tender and competitive pitch.

VMLY&R Melbourne managing partner Sarah Bailey says the agency is producing diverse digital and technology work.

“These capabilities allow us to bring real value to the table for our clients and promotes a culture of learning across the entire agency," Bailey says.

"Our team has the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects which is something we’re really passionate about.”

VMLY&R Melbourne also counts Defence Force Recruiting, Australia Post, MTIA, Department of Transport and Australian Unity among its client roster.
