Conversational agency VERSA has appointed Tomas Haffenden to the new senior role of futurist.

Haffenden will support clients and partners to manage change and leverage emerging technologies, specifically, conversational artificial intelligence (AI).

Haffenden is a strategist and industry thought leader with experience in technical, production, creative and strategy roles both agency and client-side.

He joins VERSA with a background working in roles such as conversational consultant to On_Msg, creative digital producer at The Works and leading digital transformation as CX digital strategist for Business Australia.

Haffenden, who holds a degree in philosophy from the University of Brighton in the UK, will also be sharing his futurist insights with industry thought leaders and CEOs as the host of VERSA's Future Conversations podcast.

"I'm excited to be joining such a talented team and surrounding myself with experts in their respective fields," Haffenden says.

"I look forward to working closely with new and existing clients to help realise the potential conversational technology has to define the future of CX."

VERSA CEO Kath Blackham says Haffenden's appointment would deliver added value to clients in the fast-growing and changing innovation and conversational AI space.

"We're thrilled to welcome Tomas to the VERSA tribe. We look forward to him challenging our thinking and supporting our clients to develop a deeper understanding and insight into the role conversational technology will play in our shared future," Blackham says.
