VCCP has appointed a new leadership team as managing partner Peter Grenfell returns to London for a global role at the network.

Current managing partner David Kennedy-Cosgrove will continue run the agency, which has also appointed Gary Dawson in the role of executive creative director and creative partner.

It follows the departure of previous ECD, Mark Harricks, who left in March after only a year in the role to take up a job with The Assignment Group.

Dawson had been at M&C Saatchi since 2012 where he was creative director and previously held roles at Leo Burnett Sydney, Clemenger BBDO Sydney and WCRS in London.

Kennedy-Cosgrove says Dawson's appointment will help take VCCP “to the next level”.

“We’re a challenger agency for challenger clients,” he says. “Gary joining the agency is a sign of our ambition and commitment to offer clients more than just advertising. He shares our passion for work and thinking that helps clients make their mark, both commercially and culturally.”

VCCP opened it doors in 2012 with Grenfell at the helm, moving from VCCP's London office to launch its Australian arm.

In this market it works with a number of brands including ING Direct, Fitness First and Compare the Market.
