Tim Whitfield has departed Sizmek after less than a year in the role due to personal reasons, AdNews can reveal.

Whitfield joined the indie buy-side ad platform as VP of strategic solutions in July from GroupM where he was head of operations and technology.

Sizmek confirmed his departure, saying: "Tim has left the business for personal reasons to spend time with family and deal with a health matter."

His departure comes a month after Peter Hunter joined the business as managing director to lead the APAC operations. Hunter was most recently the general manager of Eyeota and prior to that, the commercial director of Quantcast.

Sizmek this year scrapped the Rocket Fuel name following its acquisition of the business in 2017. Country manager Damien Thomson recently spoke to AdNews about the wider changes within the business and Hunter outlined his predictions for next year in the ad tech sector.
