Ralph Lauren is joining the world of wearable technology, claiming to be the first luxury brand to do so.

In a video on its YouTube channel this week the brand unveiled it's own wearable tech offering, which is a shirt with in-built technology that feeds information to the wearer's smart phone alerting them to how they're performing during exercise.

Cnet reported this week that the clothing company has partnered with OMsignal, a biometrics clothing maker, to create the shirt.

OMsignal is currently offering its own version of the shirt and black-box data collector for preorder at USD$199.
