WPP's Sorrell set for $70m bonus

Sir Martin Sorrell, chief executive of WPP and the FTSE's best-paid chief executive, is apparently in line to walk away with a £36 million bonus (almost $70m) this year.

Reports suggest the award is part of WPP’s discontinued incentive plan - Leap (Leadership Equity Acquisition Plan) which will see £79 million ($153m) worth of shares split among the company's top 17 staff.

The Leap plan allows executives to invest in company shares and then bestows them with five-times as many in return, depending on company performance over a five-year period.

Sorrell’s total pay for last year, including his salary, is expected to reach £40 million ($77m). Details will be published in April when WPP releases its annual report.

ADMA to host new tech conference for marketers

ADMA is to host a new one-day ad tech conference in Sydney on May 15.

Techmix, which will take place at the Wentworth Sofitel Hotel, will feature international and local marketing technology experts.

The event has been designed to help marketers understand the plethora of marketing technologies out there, how companies can successfully integrate them into their marketing function, and what opportunities are possible once the technology is in place.

AffiliateTraction and Ve Interactive partner up

Affiliate marketing agency AffiliateTraction has partnered with global ecommerce conversion company Ve Interactive. Under the arrangement, AffiliateTraction clients will have the ability to boost online conversions and revenue while reduce affiliate costs and Ve will gain access to a base of retail merchants in the affiliate space.

AffiliateTraction CEO Greg Shepard said: "This is a tremendous added value to our clients. We are extremely excited to work with Ve, not just so we can offer this solution to our clients, but also because we are integrating the analytics into our own dashboard for easy viewing and analysis."
