The Block Glasshouse remains a smash

The Nine Network continued to dominate TV viewing last night with The Block Glasshouse and its news shows riding high in overnight ratings.

According to preliminary overnight numbers for the metro areas from OzTam, The Block Glasshouse drew 1.21m viewers, 300,000 more than its closest non-news related show, Home & Away which pulled in 897,000 viewers for Seven.

Typically, Nine and Seven News went head-to-head drawing roughly 1m each, with Nine pulling ahead at 1.91m viewers.

Consolidated overnight viewing figures for each of the networks were as follows, with Nine substantially ahead: Nine Network total 32.4%; Seven total 28.0%; Ten 17.8%; ABC 15.7%.
