Technology is changing advertising, so we’ve added an award to recognise it

Everyone knows media, marketing and advertising is being changed by technology. It’s one of the most exciting aspects of the industry. Now you can enter The Best Use of Technology in the AdNews Agency of the Year Awards.

The new category has been introduced to showcase the ways technology is being used across the industry. It could be technology being used by brands as part of their marketing activity, or technology used by agencies to deliver a service - the list is endless.

As with all our categories, the entry must demonstrate how the technology used delivered on objectives and delivered results.

The criteria says: “This award looks to celebrate the use of technology within an organisation, campaign or brand execution. It is open to any initiative, original campaign or strategy that has technology at the core of the idea, execution or message. It can include, but is not limited to, a proprietary technology developed by the entrant and partners, use of an existing technology to drive results, an innovative application of an existing technology or a campaign that encouraged use of a specific technology for the benefit of the entrant’s objectives.”

Join us to celebrate the best in the creative and media business at The AdNews Agency of the Year Awards. The 2017 awards are now open for entry.

We’d like to thank our sponsors Nova Entertainment, MCN, Facebook, Outdoor Media Association, Val Morgan, Adstream, NewsMediaWorks, founding People & Culture sponsor iknowho, and Royal Auto and Bluestar Web.

There’s now less than a week to go until the AdNews Agency of the Year Awards close for entries - so don’t delay!

Here’s a few tips from former judges on what they’re looking for in entries.

And here’s a bit of info about how our criteria have changed this year - make sure you’re up to date.

We’ve also launched two other new categories; Media Campaign of the Year - Small Budget and The AdNews Effectiveness Award.

You can get all the information about categories and criteria here in the Entry Kit. Entries close on 19 January.
