Stan's head of marketing, Fiona King, has departed the streaming joint venture with the business currently hunting a new lead.

King had been at the Fairfax and Nine video-on-demand service for a year and seven months, having previously worked at Fox Filmed Entertainment as its head of new release marketing.

The news comes just days after the business named OMD as its media agency of record, with Stan citing it was expecting a strong finish to 2015 despite the service only being in market for six months.

A Stan spokesperson told AdNews: "Stan has experienced huge growth in a short period of time and you will see us continue to ramp up our marketing focus, looking for bigger and better ways to reach consumers."

Speaking to media recently, CEO of Stan Mike Sneesby said within a very short amount of time the service has passed the competition to become a very real contender in market.

“We're very proud that we're able to bring a massive line-up to the market,” he said. “There was a lot of noise in the market when we launched but being able to jump straight in and bring big shows to the market and get to that position, that has been a big success for us.”

Sneesby said at the time that since launch the service has been able to amass 300,000 subscribers and more than 800,000 users, with the business seeing a 70% conversation rate when it comes to free trials converting to paid users.
