SpotXchange MD of APAC, Matt Von der Muhll, has left the business for a mobile-based technology, media and telecommunications startup which is about to launch.

Von der Muhll will be Unlockd's COO, sitting alongside CEO and co-founder Matt Berriman.

Unlockd's website appears to be under construction, but claims it will “forever change the way people use and pay for their phones”.

Von der Muhll, who earlier this year penned Programmatic 101 on AdNews and caused a stir in the TV world with his views on TV not 'fighting the fear', joined video advertising platform SpotXchange in 2011. He started at the video advertising platform as director media partnerships APAC, before rising up the ranks.

He is also on the ad tech advisory council for IAB Australia.

While SpotXchange is currently recruiting for a managing director for APAC. Daniel Rowlands, APAC director of supply, Christopher Blok, APAC director of demand, and Sujen Selva, commercial director, Asia, will lead the APAC business in the interim.
