Spotify to roll out family plan

Spotify has moved to quell the unrest in families around the world by rolling seperate accounts onto the one bill.

Previously, each Spotify account was billed seperately. This meant that if a hosuehold had four accounts, it was billed for four seperate services.

However, Spotify has now introduced a new pricing scheme which will keep the four accounts on the one bill.

To sweeten the deal, Spotify has agreed to shave 50% off the cost of each account moving to the one overarching billing account.

Spotify was quick to add that the playlists on the one bill would be kept seperate, alleviating a key annoyance with the service among customers.

They complained that each time someone in the household logged into their particular account, the playlist for the other users would disappear, meaning customers had to re-log in to access their playlist.

"This is one of the most asked for features from our audience," chief content officer at Spotify Ken Parks said.

The feature is available for up to four seperate accounts, and is being dubbed "Spotify Family".

The service will reportedly be rolled out over the coming weeks.
