Global entertainment marketing company AKA announced a strategic partnership with Simon Ryan's Ryvalmedia.

AKA Australia appointed Ryvalmedia after a two-month competitive process. The arrangement represents a more extensive and integrated remit to support AKA in augmenting its offering and to accelerate growth post-Coronavirus.

AKA is the market leader in providing strategy, creative and media services to the arts and major events sector. Clients include; theatrical producers, concert promoters, cultural festivals, tourism bodies, galleries and museums.

Ryvalmedia is a digital-first marketing and media specialist with performance, data and analytics at itsheart. It is part of the independent RyanCap company, which is wholly Australian owned and operated, led by Simon Ryan, a former Dentsu Aegis Network CEO in Australia.

AKA’s managing director Vas Katos: “As we manage the impact of the pandemic on our industry, having the smartest people on our team is more important than ever. We are confident that Ryvalmedia is the right strategic partner for us, as we navigate these ever-changing times. AKA’s values and thinking are very much aligned with Ryvalmedia’s mission of excelling in this new economy with their highly experienced team.”

Simon Ryan: “AKA’s fully integrated model is the benchmark for their sector, which is reflected in an impressive client list of iconic cultural institutions and global entertainment franchises. We are living in unprecedented times contributing to rapid digitalisation, which we believe presents limitless opportunities for clients and brands. Ryvalmedia will be standing by AKA’s side as we maximise these new opportunities to achieve future business growth”.

The strategic partnership is effective from September 1 and will be managed by AKA’s head of media & data, Theo Zafiropoulos.
